Yang 12 Movement Short Form

Feet are stationary in a normal Tai Chi stance throughout most of the
form except where noted.
Each movement is repeated four times.

1. Opening/Press Arms Up and Down - 4x
Open Hands
2. Holding the Ball - (Start with Left Hand on Top) 4x
Open Hands
3. Wave Hands Like Clouds - Right/Left/Right/Left, Hands Together/Up Left, back to Center
Open Hands, Close Hand Turn Hands Over to Right
4. Slip Back/repulse monkey Arm - 4x
Open Hands
5. Brush Knee and Push - 4x
Open Hands, Hold Ball Left Hand on Top, Turn Left, Step Back
6. Oblique Flying - Left/Right/Left/Right Turn Left Hold Ball, Step Forward,
Turn To Center
Open Hands
7. Fend Off on One Leg - Left/Right/Left/Right 4x
Open Hands, Hold Ball, Right Hand on Top
8. Grasp Peacock’s Tail - Left/Right
9. Grasp Peacock’s Tail - Left/Right
10. Thrust Heel Kick and Box Ears - Left/Right
11. Thrust Heel Kick and Box Ears - Left/Right
12. Closing/Cross Hands and Press Down
